Operations Manager Opening
Southwest Public Power District has an opening for the position of Operations
We are looking for a proven leader who is team, company, and community
oriented. The candidate will manage the day to day operations of the
department, and direct the work of support staff as needed. Must be committed
to delivering excellent customer service, while meeting required deadlines.
SWPPD serves a diverse customer base which includes agriculture, petroleum,
residential, and industrial loads. SWPPD owns and operates 21 Substations, 258
miles of Shielded 69KV Sub‐Transmission Line, and over 2,400 miles of
7.2/12.470KV Distribution Line.
Successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
Required computer skills will include the Microsoft Office Suite. Additional
programs will include mastery of District’s Gridstream AMI, and ESRI based
mapping programs within a reasonable time of hire. Must be familiar with NESC
standards. Must be familiar with process of ROW acquisition/permitting
requirements of building, and maintaining district facilities. Effective
communication skills with employees, customer, and the general public are a
